It provides a showcase of entrepreneurial ventures, resources for the venture community, and programs of interest to anyone interested in innovation and business ventures. It was founded in 1987 by an alliance of business professionals and investors. It was one of the first meeting formats in the San Francisco Bay Area that allowed entrepreneurs to present to funding sources from various arenas: venture capitalists, angel (individual) investors, investment bankers, SBA officials, loan officers, and others.
