Pacific Venture Club Acquires Seed Financing for Green Away Plant Control

The Pacific Venture Club, an organization that provides resources for entrepreneurs and growth companies, announced today that it has secured seed level financing for environmental startup Green Away Plant Control. “Green Away has secured enough financing to begin operations,” stated PVC President Robert Coleman. “Green Away will continue bringing in investors, but this gives the company a solid start and the ability to begin delivering services.” Initial funding was provided by a private investor.

Green Away Plant Control has acquired the exclusive Northern California rights to a patented water pressure technology called Hydro-Mechanical Obliteration(SM) that is used to eradicate weeds, pest plants, and invasive species. It uses no chemicals and can be precisely focused on undesirable vegetation. Plant matter is liquefied and turned into mulch, avoiding the need for plant removal.

“We felt that Green Away could be an interesting proposition because, unlike many projects by entrepreneurs, it won’t need an IPO or acquisition to create an exit strategy”, elaborated Mr. Coleman. “The company provides a proprietary service, is scalable, and could generate ongoing revenues once it is fully operational.”

The Pacific Venture Club was formed in 1988 by a group of investors and business advisors. It was one of the first venture capital clubs in Northern California. For additional information on the Pacific Venture Club, see the website at: http://www.pacificventureclub.com.
